How do I measure my dog for a harness?
The correct fit of a harness is crucial. To ensure you have the correct size harness, please follow our guide to measuring your dog for a harness
Are your harness measurements in centimetres or inches?
Most of our harness measurements are shown in inches. However, please refer to the size table here to compare the various makes of harnesses for size comparisons.
What age can my dog start pulling in harness?
There are a number of articles on our site that we help you to get started in working. We advise that you do not start working your dog properly until they are over a year in age. For further information, please view our An Introduction to Working Your Dog in Harness article.
Do you have a shop I can come and visit?
We are an internet store and do not have a shop for visitors. However, we are happy to meet you at events we attend for you to look at our products. Please use our contact us page to arrange a meeting or alternatively contact us using our online support link on the right hand side of the page.
Can I change / upgrade some items within the complete kits you offer?
We have tried to create some complete kits to get you started off in various activities with your dog. However, you may prefer an alternative item within the kit. If this is the case, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this – we are happy to replace items and work out the amended kit price to create the ideal kit for you.

What type of dogs can run in harness with a scooter?
Almost any type of dogs can pull a scooter, from Huskies, to Great Danes, and Schnauzers to Spaniels. The smaller the dog, the more you will have to help out on hills and rough spots. All dogs, regardless of size, must be slowly worked into fitness, along with their owners. Don't expect to run the Iditarod in your first month!
Can you do the harnesses in different colours?
Our standard harnesses are available and held in stock in Red, Royal Blue and Black.
We are able to custom order harnesses in the following colours, with medium weight webbing: Red, Royal, Black, Navy, Turquoise, Green, Teal, Florescent Green, Purple, Burgundy, Florescent Pink, Florescent Orange, Yellow, Silver. Other colours may be available on request.
What sort of weather is suitable for my dog to run with the scooter?
The best time of year and weather to scooter in will heavily depend on your dogs coat and temperature tolerance, while it is typically a winter activity for densely coated northern breeds, other dogs with thinner coats would be able to run at virtually any time of year as long as you avoid particularly warm days.
NEVER scooter in hot weather. Cool weather is best for your dog. In warm weather, scooter in the cool of the day.
Do you ship abroad?
We can ship to most places. Please contact us for correct shipping prices. Please note, unfortunately, we are unable to ship to the US or Canada; however on these occasions, we are happy to refer you directly to our stockists in these countries. For Pawtrekker Scooters, we cannot ship a pawtrekker to a country that has a pawtrekker distributor. Please see our distribution list to find a Pawtrekker Dealer in your country.
