Dogs generally thrive when given a purpose or task and carrying a backpack often brings out the best in a dog. Many dogs which misbehave on a lead may calm down when given responsibility and a purpose such as to carry a backpack. When choosing a pack, consider the type of work, size, weight of the load, and the physical ability of your dog. All packs come with solid panels across the top rather than web straps that focus the load in just a few places. The weight is distributed evenly for the least strain and greatest capacity. These packs are designed, sewn, tested, and used by people who really care about dogs.
Please note it is important not to overload your dog and to gradually build your dogs strength and fitness when introducing them to backpacking.
