Sprint Harness - ManMat

Made out of 1 inch wide light weight, extremely durable tubular webbing, this sprint harness has a smaller neck opening and longer body than our Standard Harness.

A special breast plate design minimizes turning and "under arm" rubbing. Lightweight, open cell breathable TEBOX padding extends along the harness's entire length. The material used for padding has been tested for wear, it does not damage the dogs' hair, it is resistant to icing and almost non-soaking. This padding material is a MANMAT exclusive. The harness is designed to fit both hound crosses and Alaskan huskies and generally fits dogs of a similar shape well, from collies through to pointers.

This is the mainstay product of the majority of professional and recreational mushers. 

Most commonly seen on pictures of sled dogs around the globe, this harness is the traditional style of capturing a dogs pulling power.  It is important the harness fits snugly but not tightly around the neck and extends along the back stopping just short of the tail.

As well as sledding and dryland mushing, this harness can be used for skijoring, bikejoring, cani-cross and dog scootering.  The X-Back harness when used correctly captures the complete power of the dog from the shoulders through to the back legs.
