If pet owners are planning on taking their canine out with then this Halloween, then they might want to ensure they team their animal’s costume with a dog harness.
During an interview with WCBD, pet shop owner Sara Delaney noted that owners could dress their creature companion up with a few spooky accessories on October 31st.
She advised animal lovers to make sure that any items of clothing they put on their pet fit properly, without being too tight or loose.
It is also important to consider health and safety, Ms Delaney added, suggesting that a dog harness can keep pets by an owner’s side when going for a walk and also double up as a seatbelt in the car.
When going out trick or treating with a canine, the pet expert had one final piece of advice.
She said: "Don’t let them scarf up your kid’s candy. Sugar is very bad for dogs, particularly chocolate."
Earlier this month, animal lovers were encouraged to take their pet and dog harness and take part in the Canicross event in Dorset.
