Sled dog enthusiasts heading to a Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) rally next month have been promised a great weekend’s racing by organisers.
Event bosses said the meeting, which is taking place in Dyfnant Forest in Mid Wales, will take place on a well maintained circuit.
The two-day rally will be held on December 19th and 20th, with competitors briefed to expect a downhill start on a course that features hard-packed trails.
Entry is limited to the first 50 teams to apply before the December 5th closing date, with organisers warning un-entered dogs will not be able to run during the weekend.
The days will kick off with a rig inspection at 09:30 GMT at the starting line, which will be followed by a mushers’ meeting at 10:00.
Other SHCGB meetings taking place in the coming weeks include a night rally at Quantock Forest in Somerset on November 28th and 29th and an event that will feature dog scooter racing and Canicross at Culbin on December 5th and 6th.
