The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) reckon an upcoming sled dog race in Yateley Heath Wood will be the most fun meeting of the year.
Mushers are set to meet at the course, which is near Camberley in Surrey, on December 27th 2009.
There will be adult and junior competitions, with organisers needing entries by December 19th 2009.
Although the circuit is set to be exciting, event bosses have also warned it is a "tricky little course", adding it is undulating and challenging.
The ground is expected to be hard-packed during the race, which will be preceded by a rig inspection and mushers’ meeting at 08:45 and 09:00 GMT respectively.
Offering advice to participants, organisers said: "We have the use of this forest on the understanding that there is no trace of our presence the day after the rally."
This includes cleaning up after animals, removing rubbish and ensuring any dug holes are filled back in.
Meanwhile, SHCGB is holding a night race in Quantock, Somerset tomorrow (November 28th 2009).
