The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) has announced details of its Grimsthorpe Estate Rally.

It will hold a two-day meeting at the Lincolnshire venue on February 20th and 21st, on a course comprising forest trails and grass.

The event will use a tarmac run to its finish and be followed by an awards ceremony after its last race.

Classes taking part in races over 2.5 miles will have to navigate a small ford, while there are no steep sections to climb.

Those interested in taking part have until February 13th to register their intentions with organisers Rob and Lorraine Turville and their family.

On their application form, mushers have been reminded to state their marshalling preference.

Meanwhile, on February 13th and 14th, a two-day event will take place in Pembrey Forest in South Wales.

Organisers have issued a plea to those with first aid training to offer their services at the meeting.
