Iditarod Trail Sweeps trips allow sled dog enthusiasts the chance to enjoy a "priceless" experience.
This is according to the race’s organisers, who have announced there are three spots available for next year’s event.
Costing $25,000 (£15,398), the jaunts allow mushing fans the chance to see the course being prepared for the March 6th 2010 event.
The money generated by the breaks will be ploughed back into the race itself, event bosses explained.
"Whether you are a race fan, sponsor, or future musher, the opportunity to stand beneath the arch in Nome … can be your 2010 Iditarod experience," the organisation wrote on its official Eyes On The Trail (EOTT) blog.
Some 75 mushers have already signed up to take part in the 2010 event.
Among them is three-time winner Lance Mackey, along with Jeff King and Jamaican rookie Newton Marshall.
Meanwhile, Aliy Zirkle is also set to be on the starting line for the tenth time.
She told EOTT she is immensely proud of her dogs every time they race.
