SHCGB Pembrey Forest Rally ‘contains grassy flat runs’

December 15th, 2009

Mushers planning to enter the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain’s (SHCGB) Pembrey Forest Rally next year will race over grassy flat runs, according to event bosses.

Taking place on February 13th and 14th 2010, the South Wales meeting requires trained first aid volunteers.

Entries must be received by February 6th 2010, while there is set to be an awards ceremony after the last race of the event.
Proceedings will kick off with a rig inspection at 08:00 GMT, which will be followed by a mushers’ meeting at 08:30.

On-site amenities are set to include toilets and a burger van.

Explaining what racers can expect, organisers remarked: "[There will be] some sand, but hopefully not the previous very sandy section, some undulating, windy trails and crossing of the forestry road."

Meanwhile, SHCGB members are set to meet at Dyfnant in mid Wales this weekend (December 19th and 20th) for a two-day rally.ADNFCR-2611-ID-19514050-ADNFCR
