Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) members are gearing up for a Christmas meeting this weekend (December 27th 2009).
The Yately Heath Wood event will see six classes of race held, including a junior course.
Organisers are promising the race will be the "most fun" mushers will have had all season.
It is set to be held on an "excitingly trick course" which will be challenging and see racers tackle hard-packed trails.
The day will begin with a rig inspection at 08:45 GMT and be followed by a mushers’ meeting 15 minutes later.
Competitors have been asked to volunteer as marshals and ensure all litter is cleared away at the end of the races to ensure the venue can be secured for future events.
In related news, the SHCGB currently has 14 Sibes being fostered and has a three-month waiting list.
Admissions and adoptions are now closed until January 3rd 2010.
