The SDAS Open Rally season for me started at Ford on Hallowieen weekend, a great venue for the first race, organised by Marc McLintic. And I must say there were a few Wolves around, most looking a little sheepish after a few beers and a hard days racing on the Saturday. However energy was SOON REPLENISHED by the Pete Jones and Steve Holmes Posse who put on a fantastic BBQ with a Halloween twist, which was much appreciated by all.
As for the racing, well not so good on my part my team of polite girls go through a post seasonal blues problem Hmmm every year at this time…. that combined with the weather from hell meant we got to the start line and they looked about as ready to race as a tortoise who had been glued down. So you can imagine the time. Hey ho. In the bikejor we faired a little better gaining a 3rd in the registered class, however I must confess the result was based on my pedaling rather than the dog working. Oh how I wait patiently for my girls to get their racing heads on.
A big thank you to SDAS as well who welcomed us with open arms….. cant wait for the next race.
