Dry weather expected for SHCGB Pembrey Forest Rally

February 11th, 2010

Sled dog racers taking their dog harnesses to the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain’s (SHCGB) Pembrey Forest Rally can expect the conditions to be dry and settled.

According to BBC Weather, Carmarthenshire will experience sunny intervals on Saturday (February 13th 2010), with a maximum temperature of four degrees C and clear skies at night.

The second day of the event is likely to see slightly higher temperatures, although drizzle is expected to fall.

Organisers have already told participants the course has grassy flat runs and some sandy section, with windy conditions by the forest road.

The event kicks off at 08:00 GMT with a rig inspection, with a mushers’ meeting following around half an hour later.

A burger van will be on hand to provide catering, while other amenities include toilets.

The following weekend, the SHCGB is also holding a rally on the Grimsthorpe Estate in Lincolnshire, entries for which need to be received by this Saturday.ADNFCR-2611-ID-19611476-ADNFCR
