Canicross products to be pitched on Dragons’ Den

April 1st, 2010

A company which sells Canicross products is to pitch its wares on the Canadian version of Dragons’ Den.

Canadog, which stocks equipment and clothing for Canicross, skijor and dog team sports, will be filming scenes for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation programme at the end of this month.

It is expected that the programme will be shown in the autumn, giving the products and the sport some much-needed exposure on national television.

Canada’s version of Dragons’ Den is hosted by Dianne Buckner, who, like her British counterpart Evan Davis, has worked as a TV news reporter.

The panel of Dragons is made up of marketing entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson, internet tycoon Robert Herjavec, serial investor Jim Trelivng, ‘eco-preneur’ Kevin O’Leary and investment banker W Bret Wilson.

Products which have appeared on the show in recent years include peashooter tools, a buy-it-now button for TV remotes and Sisters Secret gourmet foods.
