A woman who lost her husky has thanked a Good Samaritan for helping him out.
Karol Brock wrote in to Fort Wayne news source the Journal Gazette to thank the person who found her lost husky and took him to his local vet.
She explained that her animal Jake escaped from her care and had been missing for six hours.
However, Ms Brock was relieved to receive a phone call from Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital to say the canine was safe.
"I was terrified that I would not find Jake, but thanks to the nice man, he is back home. Thank you so much," she remarked.
Huskies can develop a habit for escaping from their garden, according to Bakersfield.com contributor and dog training expert Sherry Davis.
She explained that keeping the animals enclosed in a small space using fences can focus their minds on escaping, even when their owners are watching.
Ms Davis recommended giving huskies as much exercise as possible.
