Canicross competitors planning to take part in the 10km Forest Trail at Delemere in Cheshire have been promised a tough course.
Members of the Canicross Trailrunners are set to join in at the annual event, which is being held on July 15th 2010.
Much of the course’s difficulty stems from The Hill, an opening sector with a steep climb that gradually works its way into a pine forest.
Organisers are expecting increased numbers this year and are set to alter the route slightly to avoid the congestion that has proved a problem in previous years.
"Never fear, we will be keeping in The Hill," they added.
Each entry costs £14, with an extra charge of £3 if paid for on the day. The shorter 3km route costs £7 to enter and £8 on the day.
The event is part of a packed programme for the Canicross Trailrunners this summer – meetings are also planned in Hay-on-Wye and Epping Forest in London, among others.
