After a month off due to a spell of kennel cough in the household, with 3 out of our 4 dogs going down with it one after the other, we were back in action last weekend. We travelled up to Walton on Trent,Nr Tamwoth (Catton Park) to compete in the Wiggle Thunder 10K. This was held in conjunction with a 6 hour Mountain Bike enduro race, though not on same day ! 15 canicross runners lined up for the start of the tough 10K race, and despite the weather being rather warm, we put on an excellent performance and came home the overall winners! I ran with both Fox and Oki and after running round with the leading male, we pushed for home with 2K to go and won in 40 minutes and 6 seconds, a very credible time for humans let alone dogs! Training for TDM going well and just booked the ferry, time seems to be zooming by, only 3 full months left of serious training ! Our next race will be on the 6th June, another 10K race over the Brecon Beacons (Magic Roundabout).
