Canicross competitors are planning to take part in an event being sponsored by Men’s Fitness Magazine later this year.

The Human Race is due to take place on September 18th 2010 at Pippingford Park estate in East Sussex and follows on from the publication’s Rough Track Triathlon.

Although the name of the magazine may suggest otherwise, the race is open to females as well as males.

Primarily geared towards triathletes, the event is also accepting entries from canicross competitors.

The entrance fee for the 8km race is £15, with the most comprehensive package – including swimming and cycling – costing £90.

“It offers a manageable but exciting course where all competitors, beginners or pros have a chance of winning,” organisers stated.

The event is among a packed programme for members of the Canicross Trailrunners this year – they are also due to appear at Paws in the Park at Hop Farm in Kent on September 11th and 12th 2010.
