Formula 1 ace Jenson Button has revealed that he swapped the thrills and spills of the racetrack for a sled dog adventure earlier this year.
The British world champion discussed the trip, which took place in Sweden in January, during an interview with the London Evening Standard.
He explained that he went on the jaunt to celebrate his 30th birthday with 14 of his pals.
Along with trying out reindeer sledding and skidooing, the gang hurtled across the snowy Scandinavian lands with sled dogs.
Asked whether he enjoyed the trip, Button highlighted the minus five degrees C temperatures and kipping in fur-trimmed sleeping bags.
The F1 star may have crossed the North Sea to try out sled dog racing, but there are plenty of options for taking part in the growing sport on home soil.
Organisations such as the Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain and the Sled Dog Association of Scotland run regular events on dryland courses throughout the UK.
