Those planning to attend events being run by the Sled Association of Scotland (SDAS) later this year may wish to invest in a new dog harness
Writing an article for the UK-based organisation, Whyphurst Kennel’s Peter Carol stated that a good quality, correctly-fitted dog harness
He pointed out that mushers should know if the harness is too long if the canine’s tail pokes out the end, while a piece of equipment that is too small will be uncomfortable.
When fitting a new dog harness,
“In some breeds with a heavy coat, or when shedding coat, there is every possibility that you may require more than one harness,” Mr Carol remarked.
SDAS’ 2010-11 season kicks off at Ford on October 30th and 31st 2010, before moving on to meetings at Borders, Tentsmuir, Culbin and Bowlands.
