Mushers have been invited to bring their dog harnesses to the UK’s biggest sled dog event of the year.
The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain (SHCGB) has revealed details of the 2011 Aviemore meeting, which takes place on trails around Loch Morlich in Scotland.
It will be held on January 22nd and 23rd 2011, when there will also be trekking taking place alongside the races.
Details of the full race calendar are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Last year’s SHCGB programme saw events take place in Dyfnant, Sherwood Pines, Rendlesham, Grimsthorpe and Pembrey and it is likely that many of these venues will be used again in 2011.
Members of the organisation are also gearing up for the annual Open Show, which is being held at Horspath Hall in Oxfordshire on September 12th 2010.
Richard Kinsey and Tracey Storey have been confirmed as the referees for the event.
