Manor Farm Country Park will be hosting an afternoon of doggy delights to get you yapping on Sunday 11th September. Don’t forget about your four-legged friend this summer; treat them to a fun-packed free event especially for them. The event, in partnership with Hamble Hounds Dog Training, is taking place at Toplands Dog Field 12.30-4.00pm, and will be followed by guided walk around the beautiful park.
Tails will be wagging as you and your dog have the chance to show off your skills in the Canine Challenges….. a selection of eight fun activities including Painting by Numbers, Dogobstacle Course, Eggility Noughts & Crosses & Cani-Cross, and see if you have what it takes to reach the Grand Final, with a chance to win some great prizes.
Annette Bowcott, from Hamble Hounds, said “having fun and helping your dog learn new things is a great way to build a strong bond with him. All the Canine Capers activities are fun, some easy and some need a bit of thinking about ! If you have never thought of entering your dog in an egg ‘n’ spoon agility course, or exploring their artistic side, this will be a great time to start!”
Andrew Davies, Park Manager, said “It is great to work in partnership with Hamble Hounds on an exciting event like this, and it also highlights the dog-friendly facilities we have at the Country Park.”
Enjoy refreshments whilst watching the activities & demos, or take a stroll around the stalls. Don’t forget to join us for a special walkies in the park at 4.30pm to let your dog have a woof in the woodland or a splash in the river. There are 400 acres to explore, and we’ll guide you to the very special parts.
(All activities are completely free. Manor Farm Country Park’s standard £2 per day car parking charge will apply).
