How does it work?
It works in a very easy way: by means of a jaw tightened to the vertical saddle-holding pole, the aluminum bar containing the shock-absorbing mechanism is attached to the bike's frame. Then the cord is attached to the dog's collar or harness by a snap link ...and you're ready to go!

Shoulder harnesses have in recent times replaced the H back harness as the alternative to the X-Back. This harness is the harness of choice for activities such as bikejoring, canicross, dog scootering and dog trekking, especially when the connection point is higher than the dog. Dog booties are used by many mushers and dog runners to protect a dogs feet during activities which may wear on the dogs pads, such as cani-cross, scootering, bikejoring or sled dog racing.

The boots provide pad protection on rough or stony surfaces and additionally can help keep a dogs feet clean.

Shoulder harnesses have in recent times replaced the H back harness as the alternative to the X-Back, with greater versatility, this harness has a wide range of functions making it the best harness for a first time purchaser.  This harness is ideal as a walking/ tracking harness, but can also double up for use in Cani-X, bikejoring or scootering.

This Shoulder Harness has the same fitted neck and breastplate as our X-Back Harness with a D-ring (padded with neoprene) sewn near the centre of the dog's back. It has a floating cinch which uses a single side release snap (padded with neoprene) to close. Great for stopping escape artists!

The harness allows a center of the back point of attachment. It can also be used as a walking harness as there is a D-ring attachment point on the neck. The additional ring at the top of the harness can be used to attach the harness to the collar to help prevent the dog backing out of the harness. (Please note that some of the smaller sized harnesses may only have 1 ring due to the size).

Mittens are perfect for working in extreme cold, as they can be quickly removed and put on to allow for hands to operate on important tasks. Mittens allow hands to quickly re-warm after exposure to the cold as the whole hand apart from the thumb is kept together.

Mushers and other dog runners such as skijorers use mittens ahead of gloves as when work needs to be done, clipping and unclipping lines and leads etc, as hands can quickly be removed and re-inserted.

The line is made from soft polypropylene webbing, which reduces friction and burning when passing through your palms and it is also almost non water absorbing.

Made by ManMat, with a brass trigger hook at one end and a handle at the other, this lead is available in 2 lengths, either 5m / 16.5ft or 10m / 33ft long. Many people also prefer to use long lines for strong dogs instead of a flexi-leash as there is a reduced risk of rope burn using a flat leash and no mechanism to potentially break.

This line can be used for walking a dog such as a Siberian Husky, or Alaskan Malamute, which are known for their selective hearing when it comes time for recall, giving them room to have a relatively free run.
