We can supply a ready assembled, flexible gangline system from our gangline sections listed in this category
All sections are made from hollow braid polyethylene (tougher and more flexible than polypropylene) which behaves better in the cold, stretches less and is more abrasion resistant
Consists of:
1 x Shockline
1 x Carabiner
1 x Single Lead Line
Remember!- this system is flexible and a three dog line can be changed easily to four dogs by replacing the double lead line with a single lead line or by connecting 2 tugs to one dog. By adding additional gangline sections this set can be increased to 6 or more dogs.

What many owners do is while training their puppy to walk to heel, also train the puppy to "pull" in harness. So basically when the puppy is wearing the harness, let them pull on the lead all they want without correction. This should help the puppy associate "pull" whilst wearing the harness. Some people start to teach their dogs the commands “gee” (right) and “haw” (left) as they turn. Another useful command to learn at this stage is “on by” which encourages dogs to continue on without distraction. It is important for your puppy to learn that when they are wearing their harness, they must stay focused – it is not a time to play.
Necklines are also useful for running or walking two dogs by keeping them together it reduces the risk of tangles and helps them to match pace when going along. However please note it is important to let dogs match pace when running together as a much quicker dog can “neckline” a slower dog, often causing the slower dog to be reluctant to run and make the experience uncomfortable. This can be reduced by adding extra resistance to the dog team by applying brakes and slowing down to a pace which is comfortable for the slowest dog.

Frequently, it is used in wheel position (near the sled) because the low-draft hitch is more level with the gangline.

This harness comes with a hardwood spreader kit. The spreader bar should be slightly wider than the rear of the dog. You may cut the bar if needed. The spreader bar should be touching the rear of the dog when the harness is in a relaxed position. Put the screws provided through the fabric and into the pre-drilled spreader bar. The height of the hitch is adjustable, so the load is always held in place for maximum pull.

The hitch ring uses limited side slip to compensate for off-center loads, and the backstraps feature the same sliding "X" as the X-back harness.

See harness sizing guide - neck and rear measurements required for this harness - see diagram on 'Measuring Your Dog for a Harness'. Please read our guide on measuring your dog for a harness by clicking here

There is usually a 3-4 week delivery estimate on this item. All Weightpull harnesses are made to order. Please be sure that this is the style harness you want and the size you order is the correct size. These harnesses are custom and may NOT be returned.

Optional extra, why not add Weight pulling For Dogs to your order. Writen by Victor Rowell. New revised version of the first book on weight pulling. Emphasizes obedience and motivations.

With this handy pocket device you can soon check temperature and humidity with its built in hydrometer and thermometer.
The Kestrel 3000 Pocket Weather Meter is the handheld weather-monitoring device that provides a wide range of functions, plus accurate relative humidity measurements. Before the Kestrel 3000 came along, the technology required to gather this information would require masses of equipment – but not anymore. The Kestrel 3000 Weather Meter measures essential environmental parameters like temperature and wind speeds, and has added advantages for professionals that need access to humidity and heat stress readings.
Because of its compact size and high durability, the Kestrel 3000 and Kestrel 3500 have become the pocket weather meters of choice for Wildland firefighters, concrete professionals, even professional coaches – all of whom need accurate weather info to properly access environmental conditions and make crucial decisions.
The Kestrel 3000's sensitive and user-replaceable impeller technology provides accurate wind speed info. Additionally, an external temperature sensor and waterproof casing allow you to gauge the temperature of water (it even floats) and snow, as well as the open air. A hard slide-on case, lanyard, and battery are included.
The Kestrel 3000 accurately measures:
- Wind Chill
- Air, Water, and Snow Temperature, displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius w/ accuracy of +/-1°
- Current, Average, and Maximum Wind Speed, displayed in: Beaufort Wind Scale Knots, MPH, KPH, or Feet Per Minute
- Relative Humidity
- Dewpoint
- Heat Stress Index

This mechanism works even under tension.
The panic snap is also used in sledding and dryland mushing to secure the snub line to stationary objects (such as trees) while teams are untangled on the trail.
Please note some Cani-Cross organisations require the panic snap to be attached to the belt as opposed to the line. The use of a carabiner through the belt clips and attached to the panic snap allows the lines to be connected to the quick release mechanism.
