The Dog Sidewalker System allows your dog to walk or run at your side while you scoot, or if dog likes to pull, he will take the strain and pull you along, while you remain in control.
Keeping maximum control makes it a useful exercise aid especially in urban environments.

This system is easy to fit. We supply a Pawtrekker Disc Brake Scooter with this complete system.

How does it work?

Simply fit your dog into the specially designed harness which will allow the dog to pull properly without strain or restriction on the throat or legs. The harness is adjustable around the body and can be lengthened or shortened to get the best position for the dog inside the U-bar frame.

Adjust the u-bar up or down, to suit your dogs height and wider or narrower to suit your dogs width, and clip them between the bars with the carabiners.

You can then scoot along with your dog at walking, trotting or running pace knowing they are getting great exercise!

The U-bar fits on either side of the scooter to suit your preferred kicking leg, and the position of the bar and the harness design prevents your dog from getting caught up in the wheel or from running into the scooter. Wheel covers give extra reassurance. When not in use, the U-bar can be folded back flush with the scooter for easy storage.

The U-bar can be positioned where it is most comfortable for you and your dog.

Any medium or large sized breed of dog can use a sidewalker, no special training is required. If you have two dogs, you can add an extender bar which will allow two dogs to run in line, one in front of the other.

Suitable for any kind of dog who loves to run, and great exercise for both of you!

More and more people are exercising themselves and their dogs as scooters are a great fun way to get cardiovascular exercise which is an important area of physical fitness

Most dogs love to run and run and you may spend most of your walks trying to recall them, or chasing around after them, or if you own a Siberian Husky or Alaskan Malamute, being dragged around on the lead by them! So why not scooter?

Dog Scootering is a growing UK sport and is well established in the States. Cheaper and easier to transport than rigs, they make a great alternative for running dogs such as Huskies and Malamutes. You can be more sociable too and whereas two rigs would be cost prohibitive for one couple, both to buy and to transport, scooters can fit neatly onto a bike rack and you can both enjoy running the trails together. Dog scootering is not just restricted to sled dog breeds and many other breeds of dog enjoy both the physical and mental stimulation offered by training them to run with a scooter, Scooters are considered safer than bikes by many as it is easy to step off and the centre of gravity is lower.

The powerful compression rubber allows the Bikejor Converter to absorb the impact of a dog lunging sideways without bending the antenna or twisting the clamp, this reduces the risk of damage to equipment, rider or dog. The Super powerful clamp should be firmly attached to the frame of the bike to ensure the front wheel can be turned without turning the Bikejor Converter.

This product is ideal to be used in association with Manmat Ski line bungees for either one or two dogs
The Bikejor Converter can also be fastened underneath the saddle to allow dogs to run alongside the bike while keeping the lines or leads clear of pedals, wheels and gears.
